Adapting Interrun’s Design for the Wrist
Challenge
Based on our iOS app’s function-first approach, we set out to bring the same seamless HIIT training experience to watchOS. Rather than reinventing the design, we focused on adapting its core functionality to fit the unique constraints and advantages of the Apple Watch. The challenge was to maintain clarity, responsiveness, and ease of use on a smaller screen while ensuring quick, at-a-glance interaction during workouts.
A Compact and Responsive watchOS App
Solution
The watchOS version delivers a clean, effective experience directly on the wrist. Just like on iOS, the app provides instant feedback through vibrations and glowing visual cues to signal interval changes. With easy-to-read indicators and a progress tracker shaped to fit the Apple Watch’s unique design, users can stay fully engaged in their workout. The minimalist interface ensures a distraction-free training experience. Optimized for quick glances, the watchOS version retains the iOS app’s core functionality while adapting to the watch’s compact form. While the MVP focuses on essential features, future updates will introduce multiple UI themes and expanded customization options.
Launching Soon on the App Store
Results
Interrun for watchOS is almost ready to go live. Designed to enhance every workout session, the app will soon be available for download, allowing users to access a highly functional and distraction-free HIIT experience directly from their wrist. Stay tuned for its official release!
